It's not good enough to just talk about being sustainable. Every person and company has a role to play in the drive to achieve net zero. At Accent Consulting, we're passionate about creating a sustainable world and also ensuring our environmental footprint is as small as it can reasonably be.
Our goal is to provide services that not only benefit our clients by reducing the environmental impacts of their projects, but which are themselves environmentally sustainable. To that end, our business operation has been set up to be low carbon from day one and we are committed to being net zero by 2025.
Some measures are already in place....
Our ofice is powered by 100% renewable energy from solar PV panels on the roof of the building. When we're not generating enough to meet our operational demand, our grid energy supplier also supplies from 100% renewable sources.
Our website and email system are hosted by Krystal, one of the first web hosts to be powered by 100% renewable energy. Find out more about their green credentials here.

We avoid the need for travel to meetings and sites, where it is practicable to do so, and to make use of technology instead e.g. virtual meetings, aerial imagery etc. Where travel is necessary, we aim to take public transport or other low emission modes of transport. All our travel is recorded and the carbon emissions calculated.

Unless specifically requested by our clients, all our reports and outputs are provided in digital format. We make use of digital technology for data management, analysis and presentation.
We are already looking at how the carbon emissions associated with our work on each project can be calculated so that we can report this to our clients upon completion. Our goal is to make our service on any given project carbon neutral.

Although we're just a small company, we want to play our part in achieving net zero, so in addition to the measures we're taking to reduce our business carbon emissions, we will also invest in net zero projects and initiatives.
We will contribute 1% of profits each year towards local and regional initiatives, rising to 5% after 3 years.
