No two  projects are the same and I'm not your typical consultant. I will always take the time to understand your project requirements, issues and challenges, consider the options and then advise on the most appropriate course of action."

A Chartered Environmentalist and biological oceanographer by training, Peter moved into environmental consulting work in 1991 and has since undertaken or been involved in over 80 EIAs, SEAs and environmental appraisals for a wide variety of projects, inlcuding airports, roads, ports and harbours, housing, retail and commercial developments, sewerage systems, flood defences, waste management facilities and renewable energy. 

 

A trusted advisor and critical friend, Peter uses his knowledge of environmental and sustainability to advise clients at all stages of project development, from feasibility and early design through to planning consent and implementation.

He is accomplished in negotiating with statutory/non-statutory bodies and other stakeholders, always seeking to find common ground on often complex and contentious development projects.

 

He has provided expert evidence and undertaken numerous independent/expert reviews of Environmental Statements for planning authorities.

 

A former member of the Institute of Environmental Management & Assessment (IEMA) Impact Assessment Network Steering Group and past-Chair (2018-2020), he is a passionate advocate for adopting an outcome-based approach to EIA and a firm believer that it is far more than just a process to deliver planning consent. It is an essential tool to embed environmental, social and economic benefits in development design.
